NSF/NCAR G-V HIMLS
A description of the air intake valve used to collect air samples while in flight.
This is an external inlet called a HIML that we use on the aircraft. There are 8 locations on the airplane that we can use, there are 2 lower and 6 upper. And in this case, it will mount to this plate here and extend down like this. This allows us to bring airflow into the airplane for sampling in the aircraft.
